He is Henry Louis Gates Jr. and he is the host of 'Faces of America' on PBS. If you've never watched one of his shows and seen what he does, you are missing out. I would simply love, love, love having that done for me.
Interesting...never heard of this guy. The only thing I ever see on PBS is Sid the Science Guy and Barney! haha!
ReplyDeleteThere is a show on tonight, Fri. the 5th, on NBC where they are doing the same thing for Hollywood stars and finding their ancesters and how they are related to history. I've had it DVRed for a week because I don't want to miss it. I LOVE seeing how we are all intertwined. Are you on ancestry.com? It is amazing to see all the famous people we are related to we didn't even know! (And how distantly Jontahan and I are related too. Do you like geneaology? I love it. Just wish there was more time in a day. If you do any "Young" stuff let me know if you find something interesting to add for Megan and Aaron. Hope you get to see the show tonight.
ReplyDeleteI saw a commercial for that and it looked interesting! I'll have to check it out! I did get on ancestry.com within the last year and discovered way back on my Grandpa Mclean's side that I had French Royalty in there! I had no idea we even had any French in the mix! I knew we were mostly Scandinavian on my Dad's side! Go figure!
